Miranda graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) from the University of Sydney after a career change from many years in newspaper journalism, editing and writing. She has experience working with children and adolescents in individual therapy, school-based groups and over telehealth, across speech, language, literacy, fluency, voice and social communication.

Miranda is trained in the Spalding Method, Speak & Write's preferred literacy and language development program, and has used the Lidcombe Program for childhood stuttering. She is also trained in DTTC for Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Miranda is registered with Speech Pathology Australia’s Professional Self Regulation Program.

In her spare time, Miranda loves spending time with her family and friends, and listening to podcasts while she walks her dogs around the Inner West.
